Prayer Focus for today: Seek God on Behalf of Men
That men will seek God and honor HIm with an integrity that unites their lives in faithfulness, wisdom and truth; for their identity to be centered in Christ-like servant leadership; that the vision of their lives would be to serve and advance God's purposes.
We also ask that as a community we lift up the towns, people and lives that have been touched by the terrible storms over night.
Psalm 24:6
This is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face--even Jacob. Selah

When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You,
"Your face, O LORD, I shall seek."
Matthew 17:1,5
Six days later Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.... While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!"
Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.
ASH WEDNESDAY
Begin a new journey with the community of Blue Sky, 7pm this Wednesday. Lent is a German word which means Spring. This fits well with our theme: "Renewal." We are asking God to bring renewal in our lives and to the world around us.
Some thoughts:
1) Begin the experience today! Families are encouraged to worship together. There is childcare from 7-8pm. But worship will continue through the night.
What can you expect?
Lots of worship. Lenten Readings and Explanation. Prayer Stations. Intercessory Prayer (If you need healing, comfort, assurance, blessing . . . come and receive prayer).
We will also be handing out a Lenten guide. This will help you bring renewal to our city and beyond. I am asking God to bring renewal to 40 people outside our community in 40 days.
Today we focus our prayer for countries on The Americas and The Caribbean: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba and the Bahamas.
